/ AI, AUTOMATION & CUSTOM SOFTWARE

Better systems. Lower overheads. More room to grow.

SIX SERVICES · ONE SENSIBLE STARTING POINT

We build custom software, connect the tools you already run, and automate the repetitive work in between. AI where it makes sense. A better process where it doesn't. Everything we build, you own.

/ 01 · START HERE

What would you like to change?

Four common starting points. Pick the one that sounds most like you and we'll take you to the right service. No questionnaire.

/ 02 · THE SERVICES06 ONLINE

Six services. Each one solves a specific problem.

Every service below says what it's for, what you get and what it looks like in practice. The audit is the easiest place to start, not a toll booth. If you already know what you need, come straight in.

SVC-01 · AUDITEASY STARTING POINT · FIXED FEE

Software & automation audit

THE PROBLEM

You've got a stack, a set of habits and a feeling that it's costing more than it should. Nobody has a clear picture of what's used, what's duplicated and what's done by hand.

WHAT YOU GET
  • Review of subscriptions, feature usage, workflows and manual effort
  • A keep / connect / replace plan for every tool
  • Prioritised opportunities with estimated costs and payback
  • A written result you can act on, with or without us
EXAMPLE

Find out whether three overlapping tools could be consolidated into one simpler system, and what that would save over three years.

SVC-02 · CONSOLIDATIONLOWER OVERHEADS

Software consolidation & replacement

THE PROBLEM

Several subscriptions each doing a slice of the job, with features nobody uses and data that has to be exported, re-keyed or reconciled between them.

WHAT YOU GET
  • The functions you actually need, built as one system
  • Migration of the data worth keeping
  • Subscriptions retired where the financial case supports it
  • A three-year cost comparison before anything is built
EXAMPLE

Replace separate quoting, job-tracking and reporting tools with one tailored operations platform the team uses every day.

SVC-03 · AUTOMATIONHOURS BACK

Workflow automation & integrations

THE PROBLEM

Work moves between systems by hand. Handovers wait on someone noticing. The same information gets typed in twice, and the Friday report takes most of Friday.

WHAT YOU GET
  • Systems connected, with data flowing one way or both
  • Handovers automated, with human approval where it matters
  • Repeated data entry removed
  • Exception handling, so the odd cases reach a person rather than a black hole
EXAMPLE

An enquiry arrives, creates a CRM record, assigns an owner and triggers the right follow-up. Nobody copies anything.

SVC-04 · CUSTOM SOFTWARE & AIBUILT AROUND YOU

Custom software & AI systems

THE PROBLEM

Off-the-shelf tools shape your process around their limitations. The thing you need either doesn't exist, or exists inside a product that does forty other things you don't.

WHAT YOU GET
  • Internal tools and customer portals
  • Dashboards on live data from the systems you keep
  • Document processing: extraction, checking, routing
  • Assistants that work with approved business information and cite it
EXAMPLE

A searchable internal assistant that answers staff questions from approved documents and shows its sources, so answers can be checked.

SVC-05 · PRODUCTNEW REVENUE

App & product development

THE PROBLEM

You've got an idea, some expertise and a market. What you don't have is a product, a clear route to one, or a way to test it before spending the full budget.

WHAT YOU GET
  • Discovery: who it's for, what they'd pay, what the first version must do
  • A prototype of the experience you can put in front of real people
  • A usable initial product, built to be extended
  • A route from discovery to launch, agreed in phases
EXAMPLE

Turn a specialist service your business already delivers into a customer-facing web app with its own pricing.

SVC-06 · SUPPORTONGOING · OPTIONAL

Training, support & improvement

THE PROBLEM

Software is only useful if people use it, and connected services change without asking. A system with nobody looking after it slowly stops being trusted.

WHAT YOU GET
  • Team onboarding and plain documentation
  • Maintenance and monitoring, with someone to call
  • Agreed ongoing improvements, prioritised by value
  • Or a clean handover to your own team or developer
EXAMPLE

Help staff adopt a new system in the first month, then keep the integrations working as the connected services update their APIs.

/ 03 · SOFTWARE REPLACEMENT

Pay for what your business needs. Build around what it does.

Subscriptions are easy to start and hard to stop. A purpose-built system costs more on day one and less every month after. Which is right depends on the numbers, so here they are.

/ BUILD VS SUBSCRIBE

Does a build actually save money?

Every assumption is editable. It shows net savings and the break-even point, including when the custom option costs more. Rough figures are fine. It's a conversation starter, not an invoice.

Marginal. A build pays back inside the period, but only just. Worth it if the hours saved or the control matter to you; not worth it on licence cost alone.

/ 04 · PRACTICAL APPLICATIONSEXAMPLE APPLICATIONS · NOT CASE STUDIES

What this could look like in your business.

Six patterns we build often. Each one is described by the change it makes, not the technology behind it.

APP-01 · LEADSEnquiries in five inboxes↓Captured, organised and routed in the CRM

Every enquiry lands in one place with an owner and a next step, whichever channel it came from.

APP-02 · DOCUMENTSPDFs, scans and attachments↓Usable data, ready for review

Information extracted for checking and processing, with the original a click away.

APP-03 · REPORTINGScattered reports and exports↓One dashboard on live data

The numbers that matter, from the systems you keep, without a Monday morning rebuild.

APP-04 · KNOWLEDGEInternal knowledge in people's heads↓Clear answers with sources

Staff search approved business documents and get an answer that shows where it came from.

APP-05 · QUOTINGManual quoting in spreadsheets↓A guided workflow with approval checkpoints

Quotes prepared the same way every time, with the right person signing off before they go out.

APP-06 · CUSTOMERSCustomer updates by email↓A portal with progress and documents

Customers see where things are and download what they need. Fewer "any update?" emails.

/ 05 · HOW AN ENGAGEMENT WORKS

Four steps. Phased where it helps.

Larger projects run in phases, each with its own scope and result. You see working software early and decide what comes next with evidence rather than a Gantt chart.

STEP 01 · UNDERSTAND
Establish the problem, current costs and the outcome you want.
A short conversation, then a look at the tools and the work in between. If an audit is the right first step, we'll say so. If it isn't, we won't sell you one.
STEP 02 · SCOPE
Agree deliverables, costs, responsibilities and how success is measured.
Written down before work starts. Phases where the project is big enough to need them.
STEP 03 · BUILD AND TEST
Review working software against real tasks and real exceptions.
Short cycles. Your team tries it with actual data while it's still cheap to change course.
STEP 04 · LAUNCH AND SUPPORT
Migrate where needed, train the team and agree ongoing care.
Or hand over cleanly. Either way you leave with the code, the documentation and the accounts.
/ 06 · OWNERSHIP & ONGOING COSTS

The questions people hesitate to ask.

Short answers. The detail lives in the proposal and the contract, and it won't contradict what's written here.

What do we own when it's done? The custom code, the designs, the documentation and the data. All of it, from the point it's paid for.YOURS
Do we get the source code and documentation?Yes. A repository in your name and plain-English documentation of how it works and how to change it.INCLUDED
Whose accounts hold the hosting and connected services?Yours. Hosting, domains, API keys and third-party services are set up in accounts your business controls. We're added as a collaborator, not the owner.YOUR ACCOUNTS
What recurring costs remain?Hosting, any paid APIs or services the system uses, and support if you choose it. We put the estimate in the proposal and show it in the calculator above.TRANSPARENT
Could another developer maintain it?Yes. Standard, well-used technology, documented and version-controlled. No lock-in to us is part of the point.PORTABLE
What support is included, and what's optional?A defined warranty period after launch is included. Ongoing monitoring, maintenance and improvement is an optional agreement, priced separately.INCLUDED + OPTIONAL

/ 08 · FREQUENTLY ASKED

Straight answers to the usual questions.

01How do we know whether a custom build will save money?+

Run the numbers before building anything. The audit, or a shorter version of it, puts your current licence costs, the one-off build cost and the running costs side by side over three years. If the custom option costs more, we tell you, and we tell you what else it would have to deliver to be worth it. The calculator above is the same logic in rough form.

02Can you connect to our current software?+

Almost certainly. Most business tools have an API or an export route, and we check each one during scoping. Where a tool genuinely can't be connected, we say so and look at the alternatives rather than promising a workaround.

03Does the solution have to use AI?+

No. AI earns its place where there's judgement at volume: reading, sorting, summarising, drafting. Plenty of problems are solved better by a reliable automation or a shorter form. We'll recommend whichever is cheaper to run and easier to trust.

04What does a project cost?+

An audit is a fixed fee. Builds are scoped and priced before work starts, in phases where the project is large. You'll always see the running costs alongside the build cost, so there are no surprises in month two.

05How long will it take?+

It depends on scope, and we'd rather give you a real date after scoping than a vague one now. What we can promise is working software early: a first usable version within the first phase, so you're testing real tasks rather than waiting for a reveal.

06Who owns what you build?+

You do. Code, designs, documentation and data, held in accounts your business controls. See the ownership section above for the specifics.

07What happens after launch?+

A warranty period is included. After that you can choose an ongoing support and improvement agreement, hand the system to your own team, or bring in another developer. Everything is documented so each of those is realistic.

08How do you handle our business data?+

Your data stays in your accounts. We work under a data processing agreement, use the minimum access needed, and remove our access at handover. Where AI services are used, we choose providers and settings that don't train on your data, and we tell you which ones they are.
